Development of the 1st and 2nd phases of software and hardware appliances for IT infrastructure of data processing centers of Russia’s Federal Tax Service and Treasury

Development of the 1st and 2nd phases of software and hardware appliances for IT infrastructure of data processing centers of Russia’s Federal Tax Service and Treasury

Project Objectives:

Support of sustained operation of consolidated informational resources and information interoperability of the IT infrastructure developed on the sites of Main and Backup Data Processing Centers (DPC) with the departmental telecommunication systems of the Russian Federation Federal Tax Service (FTS) and the Federal Treasury

Solution:

The Compulink Group of Companies has fulfilled a complete cycle of work for development of IT infrastructure software and hardware appliances including supplies of equipment, non-exclusive licensing for use of software, installation, assembling, startup and commissioning on the DPC sites (the main one in Dubna, Moscow Oblast, and the backup one in the town of Gorodets, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast) rated for 450 server racks each.

NALOG-3 AIS was established as the main component in the centralized architecture. The system operation is intended to ensure the transparency of activities of tax authorities for a taxpayer, to improve the procedures of information interaction with state public authorities and local self-governing bodies.

The scope of Compulink activities also comprised hookup of optical communication links to the two DPCs, deployment of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, data backup system, printout system and virtual user desktop on the general-system platforms. To ensure personnel security, the Company installed a monitoring system warning about emergencies.

Result:

Operation of IT infrastructure software and hardware appliances of the main (Dubna, Moscow Oblast), and backup (Gorodets, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast) data centers provided for sustainability of the FTS and Treasury services, improved the quality of analytical work and enabled moving of the user workplace resources to DPC servers, and reducing the maintenance service costs and the number of IT service operational personnel due to prevention of duplicate functions.

Implementation of the project as a whole promotes improvement of the interaction of the FTS of Russia with the government bodies and tax authorities of other countries: the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus, and others.
